Riddle Poem
By Joseph Denson, 3rd
grade Composition
You may call me a bug,
But I am not an insect.
I come in many different
colors:
Red, black, gold, yellow,
blue, or green.
I can spin without thread
to make a sticky web.
I can even make a parachute!
I have eight hairy legs
and six spinnerets.
I may look scary,
But I help you a lot
By eating flies,
mosquitoes, and lots of bugs.
Don’t squash me! I am a spider.
